Camden Memorial Day Parade

The P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center
(formerly the Camden-Rockport Animal Rescue League)
will be showing our appreciation and support of all of our veterans by marching in the Memorial Day Parade.
If you (and your dog) would like to join us please don your Red, White and Blue - or if you are a veteran, your uniform - and come to the shelter at 146 Camden Street in Rockport at 8:45 a.m. to line up.

PET FOOD RECALL
If you haven't heard already, Diamond Pet Foods has voluntarily recalled several brands produced in its Gaston, South Carolina, plant as a precautionary measure to protect the health and safety of customers and their pets. Several other brands (made at the Diamond plant) have also recalled product. It is important to check your pets food to make sure it isn't on the list - the effected foods don't all have "Diamond Brands" in their name. To see if your pet's food is on the list follow the link below. You can also check with your veterinarian or retailer where you buy your pet food.

5th ANNUAL MUTT WALK
This year we are encouraging everyone to form a "pack" with friends, co-workers or family members. Come up with a really clever name and design a super cool t-shirt or costume. You could win a prize!
It's going to be a tail-waggin' good time!

Everyone loves to hear a story with a happy ending. If you have adopted from us email us a story and a picture and we will include it here!
Our Volunteer program is being transformed!
In order to better utilize the skills and talents of our volunteers, and to ensure that everyone is following shelter policies and procedures, anyone who wishes to volunteer at the shelter, in any capacity, is required to attend a Volunteer Orientation.
These sessions are for all volunteers, whether you are just starting or have been coming for many years.
There are currently 2 sessions scheduled. They will be held at the shelter and each is limited to 10 participants. The first is May 20 at 2:00 p.m. and the second is May 21 at 2:00 p.m. More will be scheduled as necessary. We expect each session to last approximately 1.5 hours.
