Hello friends!

Last year was a busy year here at PAWS!  Amid the pandemic PAWS cared for more than 1,400 stray, homeless, abandoned and at-risk animals.  And we provided services to even more!

As you know, the pandemic has been an especially challenging time for all of us and PAWS has not immune to the stressors of this pandemic. Despite everything happening around us, from the very beginning, we knew that we had to stay focused on caring for the animals and for our community of pet owners.

With the support of our local businesses, we were able to accomplish the following:

  • Cared for 1,465 pets through our programs and services

  • 587 Forever Homes for Cats & Dogs

  • Administered 3,947 vaccinations

  • Performed 1,192 spay/neuter surgeries

  • Reunited 77 lost pets with their family

  • Saved the lives of 283 cats and dogs from hi-kill shelters

  • Provided pet food and supplies to 285 pet owners

  • Assisted 47 pet owners in need through partnerships with Knox County Homeless Coalition, New Hope Midcoast, Penquis, Waldo County & Penbay Hospital, and Meals on Wheels.

We cannot do this work without YOU!

I hope you will join forces with PAWS to make sure our homeless and at-risk animals have their best chance at a happy, and healthy, life and so we can continue to be a resource to our community of pet owners.
